She’s Going to Baguio

by admin

My girlfriend will be going to Baguio this Wednesday and stay there for a few days. She’s going to train some newly-hired employees. I would have loved to go with her but I can’t take leave from my job.

Aarrgh! Just the thought that Sagada is just six hours away from Baguio makes my feet itch for another trip.

I just asked her for a pasalubong of a jar of ube jam.

ube jam

I also just realized that I don’t know anyone in Baguio. Well, other than The Lady Programmer. :)

Ube jam is my most favorite kakanin especially the ones coming from Baguio. I haven’t had any in a long while. The ones you can buy in Oriental Store here in US that are made in the Phils. are nowhere near the taste of the original. This picture made me crave for some ;-(

waaaaah…what a coincidence. my boyfriend is going to baguio on monday (sept. 29) on official business, too. he’ll be there til second week of october. i don’t think i can join him since i’ve a heavy workload next month. sad.

hmmm, you gave me an idea what to ask as pasalubong! i love ube jams by Good Shepherd. :)

Is she here already? Love to meet her =)
I hope di siya nabagyo. I’ve heard some landslides that happened. Electricity was also knocked out yesterday.

Is her training for PeopleSupport, or ClientLogic? I’m sure she’ll enjoy the time here. It’s really quite cold.

I miss eating ube from Baguio.

Thanks for visiting my blog. It’s always a pleasure to meet new and interesting people.

How nice that you and my son share a similar name, although slightly different in spelling. Take care.

I just finished off the jar of Ube that my agents brought home for me when they went home to Baguio for a week long vacation. I wish I knew you or your girlfriend in person to ask for more! haha :)

Try Tantamco’s Ube Jam, they are also splendid! Really tasty, almost divine!

May I invite you to visit my other blog as well, Pinoy Around the World at http://modernmariaclara.wordpress.com

Thanks!

Katakamtakam. Tanong lang, anong difference between ube haleya and ube jam? Magkaiba ba ‘yun?

You don’t have to miss it, gawin mo na lang. Kung halaya, here’s the recipe (madali lang): http://www.carinderia.net/desserts/ubehalaya.html and the pictures during the process: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kenilio/128453123/

i have not tried ube jam from baguio, i was already happy and satisfied with the ube jam we have in Negros, but I do not pay attention where they come from. The picture look so good, next time, I’ll pay attention to the source of ube jam, I actually really miss it!

Masarap talaga ang ube, delicious! I used to consume a jar of ube per day when I was still studying in Baguio. Ayan may kakilala ka na sa Baguio..lol…

Cool site you have here.

Happy blogging.

ayyyyy ang sarap siguro pumunta sa Sagada. I hope someday I can be able to travel there. I heard that it is a nice place to relax and just forget everything when u are in there. My friend Mike who is planning to move in the Philippines must see Sagada and well Baguio as well.
