Friends have been asking me if it’s fine and safe to plan a trip to Sagada now that the rains have started to kick in. I always answer them yes because Sagada is fun and exciting even during a downpour.
“But there’s nothing else we could do there, right? We’ll just be stuck in our hotel rooms.” my friends said.
Well, you can’t really experience nature if you don’t get yourself soaked in water and sweat. Part of the fun that Sagada can offer to you is getting in touch with nature. And I’m saying it’s only part of it because the whole gamut is, well, comprises a bigger picture. That’s because there are people to meet (Sagadans and fellow tourists), food to eat, and the tranquil night time where there are no lights and sounds to bother you and your thoughts.
Feel the rain, I’d say! Go up there and enjoy the water on your face, drenching your clothes as you walk up and down the beautiful rice terraces. Sagada does not offer 5-star luxury, but it does offer an experience to uplift your spirit and be yourself even if just for a while.
Get wet in Sagada. It’s one of the best places on Earth when it rains.

I absobloodylutely agree. Getting rained is a genuine Sagada experience. It’s not as if it would rain 24/7. Let your spirit free – for real magic sparks where you least expect it.
If only for the yoghurt, i can always return to Sagada!
that was a good suggestion…get wet, be free and feel the nature’s presence around you..=)
